The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of South Africa was officially recognized in October 2014. This was born by the former Board of Directors and with the support of the Spanish Commercial Office in Johannesburg. Since then our membership has been growing continuously, and we have become a prominent organization among local institutions. The main objective of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of South Africa is to promote and create bilateral relationships between South Africa and Spain, creating a platform for both local companies and Spanish companies to engage. Furthermore, the Chamber also focuses on: - Supporting business while taking into account the needs of small and big businesses. - Stimulating economic growth. - Attracting new business. - Encouraging investment and re-investment. - Supporting creation and retention of jobs. - Networking, social events and workshops. - Knowledge transfer through training initiatives. Many South Africans have become acclimated to scarcity, whether as a result of diminished dignity or a lack of service provision in metropolitan areas. German-born choreographer Hannah Ma is preparing The Void for Scar/city, and renowned South African dancer Dada Masilo is choreographing Salome, his first-ever piece for Joburg Ballet. The first South American performance of Dutch choreographer Jorge Pérez Martínez’s Azul is the third ballet.
