Many South Africans have become acclimated to scarcity, whether as a result of diminished dignity or a lack of service provision in metropolitan areas. German-born choreographer Hannah Ma is preparing The Void for Scar/city, and renowned South African dancer Dada Masilo is choreographing Salome, his first-ever piece for Joburg Ballet. The first South American performance of Dutch choreographer Jorge Pérez Martínez’s Azul is the third ballet.
