Dr. Boitumelo Semete-Makokotlela took over as CEO of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) in January 2020, and shortly thereafter was faced with one of the most challenging pandemics in our lifetime.

Join us as she takes us through some of the regulatory challenges; most notably:

Dealing with the backlog of applications of health products;
Improving efficiency processes;
Harmonising regulatory requirements and processes between South Africa and other African countries;
SAHPRA's role in supporting the vaccine roll-out during COVID-19 pandemic
